After seeing the Zoeva Rose Gold collection several times on my instagram feed, and absolutely obsessing over how aesthetically pleasing they looked, I decided to take the plunge and buy myself the Rose Gold Volume 2 Collection. I did ridiculous amounts of research before I bought them as spending £80 on a set of brushes at first seemed obscene, but I soon realised that spending more money on something of fabulous quality was definitely the right idea. Even the original packaging the set arrives in is beautiful, a black and rose gold box containing the rose gold bag used for storing the brushes.
The Collection comes in at £65 on the Zoeva website, whilst the extra powder brush I also bought was priced at £12.50.
The set itself comes with: 3 face brushes: ( 104 Buffer Brush, 109 Luxe Face Paint, 126 Luxe Cheek Finish) and 5 eye brushes: ( 226 Smudger, 228 Luxe Crease, 234 Luxe smoky shader, 317 Wing Liner, 322 Brow Line)
The whole collection is
absolutely beautiful, the brushes are of such a lovely quality, and apply all
products perfectly. I was sceptical as to how the hair would last, as I've
tried some brush brands in the past in which shedding would occur after using
them only once of twice. However, from the moment I began using the Zoeva set,
I was completely hooked, the actual brushes are of lovely quality, the hairs
have not shed whatsoever, and they are still as soft as ever. My research into
the company before buying was the main thing that led me into taking the plunge
and ordering a set, as I was soooo happy to find out that the brand are
completely cruelty free, and when obtaining the hair from the goats for the
brushes, the animals themselves are not harmed at all.
All in all, I am 100%
content with the brushes, and will always rebuy from Zoeva in future. I hope
this will of helped anyone trying to decide between brands such as Spectrum,
Morphe and Zoeva for their next brush set, as I can safely say I am Zoeva all
the way.
