Charlotte Tilbury

Anyone who knows me well will 100% know that the title of my all time favourite Beauty brand goes to... Charlotte Tilbury. How can anyone resist that incredible rose gold packaging?! I recently splurged on a whole basket full of tilbury goodies last week and spent a ridiculous amount of money on a new foundation, highlighter and bronzer, primer and of course the coveted new Flawless Filter, and what better way to swoon over the new additions to my makeup bag than by posting a chat all about them on my blog.

So firstly,  the beautiful packaging. The rose gold packaging is already every girls dream. It barely gets a single scratch in your makeup bag, it stays super shiny no matter how often you pick it up and it looks incredible on your vanity table. Charlotte's classic colours of burgundy, soft pink and rose gold go together beautifully, making the products look classy but still modern.

I firstly picked up the Magic Foundation in the shade 4.5, with the product coming in a pretty glass bottle, white push-down application top and a Rose Gold lid.  Immediately after trying it on my face, I had fallen in love. It provides you with a buildable, medium to heavy coverage which doesn't clog in any pores or accentuate any oily areas. It also doesn't make my skin look 'cakey' or particularly dry, and, especially when used over the Wonderglow primer, even appears to look beautifully glowy. My only issue is how, due to the light colour, the product does make the top of the bottle very dirty, but nothing a swipe with a makeup wipe can't solve.

I went on to pick up the new coveted 'Flawless Filter' in the shade 2. This product is claimed to be a 'complexion booster', with the 'versatility of a face primer, with the mega watt glow of a highlighter' and the perfecting properties of an instagram filter. I can safely say that this product 100% provides me with an instagram worthy-looking filter and works just as well as a highlighter and mixed with foundation. I did find when trying this product with the Magic Foundation over the top as a primer I didn't see the product coming through whatsoever and therefore have to prefer it mixed with foundation, which provides a stunning, youthful glow. The doe foot applicator is perfect for dabbing on just the right amount- you don't end up having too much product on the skin.

Charlotte's best selling 'Filmstar Bronze and Glow' in the shade light-medium and the 'Cheek to Chic Blush' in Love Glow are also real winners for me; products I have found myself repurchasing on many occasions. The highlight and bronzing set contain 2 beautiful, natural but still intense shades, with the Bronzer being the perfect tone for using as a light contour or gentle bronze. The blush is of the perfect level of pigment, not too intense but rich enough to provide a beautiful pinky- peach on the cheeks.

Not quite content enough with 1 order, I had to nip into John Lewis and pick up two more products. The Wonderglow Primer is a constant replenishment for me, I always find myself reaching for this even when I try to branch out to other brands. The consistency is lovely, lightweight, not at all heavy but enough to feel moisturising and make my skin look and feel glowy and light. The 'Beauty light wand' is a new product in my makeup bag, but after many swatches when walking by the counter I finally decided to pick one up and was not disappointed. The soft sponge applicator makes it glide onto the cheek bones effortlessly, giving you the perfect level of intensity that is still further buildable. Even on a no-makeup makeup day this product suddenly manages to turn a rather dull appearance into complete glowy-ness. LOVE.

There is no doubt in my mind about 1 thing- I'll always be TeamTilbury!
